Easy on, and easy off! Protect your valuable fishing reels from saltwater damage.
Compared to reel covers double the price, these covers are so much easier to fit and remove, but more importantly they keep your reels dry just as well. These covers are made from water-resistant polyester and vinyl, and have velcro seals to stay securely on your cover when traveling at high speed.
We do recommend always using a tether for your rod when traveling at speed. So, if using a rod tether (which you should at all times), slip the tether through the Reel Cover's side tab before attaching it to the rod. That way both are safe!
Field-tested by many jetfishers Australia-wide, they are already proven to reduce water intrusion, and extend reel service intervals. The covers have a loop tab to allow you attach a tether so you can secure them to them to your ski or boat to prevent loss at speed -or getting washed overboard when not attached!
New design offer better sealing around the rod handle! We have also re-inforced the sides to avoid any tearing by over-vigorous fishos!
One size fits most spinning and overhead reels on the market with the exception of very game reels. You only need one cover size to fit any of your reels.
Please note your reels may still get wet while fishing and uncovered. The covers are designed to stop the 'water-blasting" effect that results in saltwater intrusion while traveling on the ski. Even well-sealed reels can benefit from these covers. These more expensive reels often have bearings in the bail arm rollers, and these are still very susceptible to water intrusion.
